Tool Makers

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled tool and die maker to craft dies and metal tools for our automotive stamping facility. In this role, you will be required to interpret design schematics, cut and shape dies, and assemble the completed parts. You will also need to test the performance of the completed product.

To be successful as a tool and die maker, you should have in-depth knowledge of metalwork and engineering, a good eye for detail, and the ability to visualize structural components. A top-class tool and die maker is able to translate ideas into expertly crafted metal forms ready for the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Layout, machine and construct Die steels for the purpose of tool and die Manufacture.
  • Proficient in blueprint reading and using measuring instrumentation.
  • Ability to use overhead cranes and associated material handling equipment.
  • Trouble shoot tooling during try outs.
  • Comply with all health and safety rule, use good judgment, show leadership and set an example for apprentices.
  • Perform and maintain 5S standards in areas of responsibility

Qualifications:

  • Journeyman’s status or equivalent experience
  • Self initiative and direction are required to lead the skills and development of apprentices as well as your own activities.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English
  • Accountable – Teachable – Approachable -team player
  • Ability to learn, make decisions, be flexible and problem solve

Industrial Millwright Mechanic (Licensed 433A)

We are looking for an experienced Industrial Millwright who wants to join a dynamic but growing team with vast learning opportunities/potential. If you are looking for a fast paced permanent full-time job with plenty of opportunity for overtime, then this is the job for you!

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Install, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment, machinery, and electrical systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment.
  • Repair and maintain physical structure of facility.
  • Perform preventative maintenance.
  • Perform fabrication and machining tasks as needed/required.
  • Execute and assist with rigging responsibilities as required or needed.
  • Perform other duties as required or instructed by Maintenance lead or management.
  • Able to perform duties independently and/or in a team environment.

Qualifications: 

  • Basic knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical systems
  • Reading schematics
  • Working at heights, forklift/crane certified
  • High Quality of Workmanship/detail
  • Millwright: 3 years (preferred)
  • Millwright 433A certification (preferred)
  • 433A Red Seal certification (preferred)
