Our Tool and Die makers and CNC operators within our tool room manufacture your transfer and progressive dies. Our tool room facility is equipped with high capacity cranes, large bed CNC equipment and presses to handle almost any sized die. The tool room team creates dies that are robust, precisely manufactured and production ready.
NEW DIE BUILD
Starting in 1978, Egar Tool and Die has been perfecting tool making for over 35 years. With extensive experience using both cast and boiler plate constructions, our toolmaking operation will supply your die on time, fully documented and to your specifications. Tool buy-offs are performed on production equipment at rate.
DIE MODIFICATIONS AND ENGINEERING CHANGES
Egar Tool and Die is capable of engineering projects of any scope, with a fully equipped tool room, press shop, and design department. Our in house team of designers can design complete projects from small modification to a complete reprocess.
Using state of the art equipment, Egar Tool and Die is able to animate dies and tooling components on-site with a metrology-grade accuracy of up to 0.03 millimeters.
Die repair service is also available on-site. By overlaying scanned parts with CAD models our team is able to evaluate differences and reverse-engineer and redesign to repair broken dies.
Our current customers use tools from global sources which has given us the extensive experience in repairing an array of dies. Our design team and tool room can handle broken dies, die quality issues or die maintenance on short notice.
Egar Tool and Die also offers support for launching new dies. Our facilities feature a fully equipped press room including a 500 ton hydraulic press dedicated to die-trailing and an experienced quality control team to vigorously create, test, and quality check new dies.
Egar Tool and Die is ISO/TS certified and we are able to implement the Production Parts Approval Process for your parts until the dies can be landed. Egar Tool and Die strives to optimize die production and can test your dies from upper and lower die surface contact, press parameters and the smallest of quality control checks.
